What Does Mold Testing Entail?
If you have never had a your home inspected or tested for mold before, it can be stressful. You might not know what to expect. Most mold testing involves taking a sample of either the air ofr the surface. This tells us what kind of mold exists and whether it's able to grow in the tested area.
Air samples can be taken and analyzed in more than one way. We usually use a spore trap sample, which works by having a known volume of air pass through the spore trap, impacting a sticky surface. When the spore trap is sent to the mold testing lab, the particles captured on the sticky surface are analyzed; if mold is detected, we can move on to treating your mold problem.
There is more than one way to take a surface sample; we will utilize the best one depending on the surface tested. Generally we either take a swab or a tape sample in order to detect the presence of mold during your inspection.
We Offer a Variety of Mold Testing Services
At Mold Testing Specialists, we offer residential and commercial establishments with affordable mold inspections. During these inspections, we take a visual inspection of the area you are concerned with and perform moisture readings, take thermal images, and obtain humidity and temperature readings.
